Shooting Instruction

Whether you're new to the sport and aiming to break your first clay or an experienced shooter looking to refine your skills, our sporting clay instruction is designed to help you reach your goals.

We offer beginner introductory courses for first-time shooters and private lessons for those looking to improve.

In the Beginner’s Introductory/Refresher Course, you’ll learn essential safety rules, proper shotgun handling, and the basics of shooting disciplines—typically starting with trap or sporting clays. Once you’re confident in your shooting and understand all safety and game rules, you’ll be ready to continue on your own. For a group of 1-2 people, the Course costs $40 and take approximately 30 minutes, for a group of 3-5 people, the Course costs $80 and should take approximately an hour. Please note that the prices mentioned above only cover instructor's time, the target and ammo fees are not included.

Gulf Coast Clays is proud to have resident instructors Corey Rugg and Paul Harrison, along with several NSCA and NSSA-certified instructors who coach at our club, available for private instruction. Contact us today to schedule your lesson. Please note that target and ammo fees are not included.
