Welcome to Gulf Coast Clays at Port of the Islands

Located 24 miles south of downtown Naples, FL, Gulf Coast Clays offers a premier shooting experience in a stunning setting. Open to the public, our club features Trap, Skeet, and Sporting Clays shooting, catering to all skill levels from beginners to seasoned enthusiasts. Safety and community are at the heart of what we do, and we’re dedicated to promoting the enjoyment and skill of this exciting sport. Come and shoot with us today!

Tuesday – Sunday (Thursday is for members only) 9am-4pm. To shoot sporting clays, please arrive on the course no later than 2:30pm.

Reservations & Requirements for Shooting
- If you’re new to shooting or haven’t shot in a while, you are required to attend our Beginner’s Introductory/Refresher Course. Please make a reservation in advance.
- If you are an experienced shooter, either with us or at other clubs, you are welcome to shoot on a first come, first served basis without a reservation.

Trap

Trapshooting games include American Trap, Handicap, and Doubles. In American Trap, shooters stand 16 yards back from a trap house, taking turns at five shooting stations firing at 25 targets per shooter, moving one station right after each set of five shots. Handicap Trap adjusts shooter's distance from the trap house based on performance (17-27 yards), while Doubles involves shooting 50 targets (25 pairs) at 16 yards.

Skeet

Skeet shooting features a low house, a high house, and eight shooting stations. Each round of 25 targets is shot in a specific order:

Stations 1, 2, 6, and 7 shoot a single target from each house and then a double.

Stations 3, 4, and 5 shoot a single target from each house.

Station 8 shoots a single target from each house.

If a target is missed, it's repeated as the "option bird." If all targets are hit, the option bird is a single low house target shot from station eight.

Sporting Clays

Sporting clays is a simulated hunting game with 10 to 15 stations, each featuring 3 or sometimes 4 machines (labeled A, B, C, and occasionally D). Targets vary in difficulty, with A being the easiest and C (or D) the most challenging. Each station presents combinations of singles and pairs, typically launching 6 to 10 clays per station. A full round of Sporting Clays typically involves shooting 100 targets.
